NFT pet firm Dogamí gets its claws into $14m

Dogamí, a French provider of a Web3 game for NFT pet companions, has scored $14m in a seed funding round led by XAnge.

Also taking part in the round was Bpifrance, Ubisoft, Draper Goren Holm, Tezos, GSR, Animoca Brands and The Sandbox.

According to FinSME, Dogamí has launched a mobile app that enables users to play, feed, pet and walk with their virtual NFT dogs and be rewarded with the $DOGA cryptocurrency. DOGA House is exclusively available to owners of a Dogamí NFT for both iOS and Android.

Currently, the firm offers 12,000 unique virtual NFT companions which are divided into four rarity tiers. Fifteen Dogamí breeds have been released so far, including the popular Shiba Inu, Corgi, and Australian Shepherd.

Over the next few months, Dogamí plans to introduce new features and improvements, including personalisation of avatars with branded accessories, development of the game environment, augmented reality, mini-games and competitions between Dogamers.

The company is also working on a new mobile game, set to launch in 2023, that will allow Dogamers to experience adventures with their virtual companions.

Dogamí intends to use the funds to expand its range of Web3 games and applications for mainstream audiences.
