Regnology, a distinguished software provider with a strong emphasis on regulatory reporting solutions, is reportedly nearing the final stages of negotiations to acquire Invoke, a French-based company specialising in financial, regulatory, and tax reporting solutions.
This development signifies an important step in Regnology’s ambitious growth strategy, which has already seen four other acquisitions in the space of a year.
The proposed acquisition serves to facilitate Regnology’s objective to boost its global prominence in the FinTech sector, through increased growth and value generation. Invoke’s reputation for delivering top-notch XBRL-based banking, insurance, and tax reporting solutions across the European market provides an appealing proposition for Regnology’s growth ambitions. The actual value of the deal, however, remains undisclosed.
Regnology, a firm with a resounding reputation for innovative regulatory reporting solutions, is currently serving more than 34,000 financial institutions, international organisations, and tax authorities worldwide. Invoke, conversely, has a robust presence across Europe, offering its advanced regulatory and tax solutions to over 1,800 regulated entities. The planned union of these two FinTech leaders presents a powerful combination of technical sophistication and sector-specific expertise.
The acquisition of Invoke, with its impressive team of over 160 professionals, is expected to supplement Regnology’s financial tax reporting solution, carving a new avenue for growth. This follows on the heels of Regnology’s recent strategic acquisitions, including the UK-based Metadata Technology, KPMG’s K-Helix reporting software unit, Brussels-based b-fine, and PwC UK’s Tax Information Reporting (TIR) software business.
It’s worth noting that the proposed acquisition is pending further due diligence and certain conditions, including discussions with Invoke’s works council and the finalisation of the definitive agreement. The completion of this acquisition would solidify Regnology’s international expansion efforts, amalgamating its RegTech and SupTech offerings into a comprehensive integrated regulatory reporting platform.
Expressing his excitement over the potential deal, Rob Mackay, CEO of Regnology, said, “Invoke’s advanced solutions would complement our technology stack while its team’s deep knowledge of the French and Luxembourg markets would strengthen our ability to deliver superior RegTech and tax reporting solutions on a wider scale.” Raphael de Talhouet, CEO of Invoke, concurred, emphasising, “Our regulatory and tax expertise, local knowledge, and advanced solutions would be a natural fit for Regnology, and we believe a combination would offer amazing growth opportunities.”
