In honour of Pride Month, ACA Group proudly aligns itself with the worldwide recognition of the LGBTQIA+ community, marking June as a month to celebrate their invaluable contributions. The company reaffirms its commitment to nurturing a working environment that thrives on diversity and fosters inclusivity.
Diversity sits at the heart of ACA’s core values, recognised as a key driver for creativity and innovation. ACA is determined to cultivate an environment where every individual, irrespective of sexual orientation or gender identity, feels appreciated and supported. Pride Month offers a unique opportunity to reinforce the significance of diversity and enables ACA to restate its dedication to equality and acceptance.
This year, ACA has chosen ‘Love is Love’ as its celebration theme. It applauds the efforts made by ACA’s LGBTQ+ and ally employee resource group, ACA ALLiance, in organising initiatives throughout June. These initiatives aim to enhance understanding, offer support, and advocate for LGBTQIA+ issues, while also encouraging staff participation.
ACA’s ALLiance group is set to hold an enlightening panel discussion with Tony-winning producer JJ Maley and other guests. They’ll share personal narratives regarding identity and gender, offering distinctive viewpoints and valuable insights. Bernadette Smith, a guest speaker, will also hold a Leadership Presentation titled “Born This Way: Leveraging your Identity as a Leadership Asset”, providing guidance on utilising one’s identity for professional development.
In cooperation with the ALLiance, Asian and Pacific Islander, and Mental Health employee resource groups, employees will partake in a book club discussion on Ocean Vuong’s “On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous”. This poignant book examines themes of identity and belonging.
By fostering open, respectful conversations, combating stereotypes, and displaying empathy, ACA continues to develop an environment where individuals feel free to be their authentic selves, without prejudice or discrimination.
