Aon bolsters broking team with new UK hire

Aon has appointed Graeme MacMillan as its Chief Broking Officer (CBO) for Commercial Risk Solutions in the UK. 

The global professional services firm hired the broking sector veteran due to his decades worth of experience built through senior market roles at Aviva, Marsh and Ardonagh Group. 

MacMillan’s tenure is set to begin 1st November 2023, and will see him take the reigns of the company’s UK Commercial Risk broking strategy. His remit will also include strengthening insurer relationships, and developing innovative propositions and products for clients, while making sure the UK broking strategy works in unison with Aon’s Global Broking Centre. 

Jane Kielty, Aon’s Head of Commercial Risk Solutions in the UK said: “Graeme has a phenomenal track record of leading the creation and execution of innovative and differentiated broking strategies that are bold and ambitious for the benefit of clients. 

“It’s great news that both Aon and our clients will soon be benefitting from his experience and skills to help navigate emerging forms of volatility.” 

MacMillan will report to directly to Kielty and James Baum, Head of Wholesale and Specialty Broking. 

Aon also recently appointed Anneliesse Oliveros as the Head of EMEA for their Global Broking Centre as part of the London-based company’s broader strategy to strengthen its leadership team and bolster its market presence in EMEA.
