Revolut has partnered with Game4Ukraine to help raise much needed funds for the reconstruction of a Ukranian school that was struck by missiles during the Russo-Ukranian war.
The PayTech giant has partnered with the charity football match, which will take place on August 5th at Stamford Bridge Stadium in London, to help to raise the funds to restore the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynsky Lyceum in the Chernihiv region.
The company has pledged that for every customer who signs up to Revolut through the link in @revolutapp’s stories and spends with their card, they will donate £20 to UNITED24 (T&Cs apply).
Vlad Yatsenko, co-founder and CTO at Revolut said: “As a British-Ukrainian citizen, I thank everyone for the ongoing support and I invite you to join Revolut and Game4Ukraine in helping those who need it most right now. Let’s come together to rebuild Ukraine.”
The game will see the two sides be captained by a pair of Ukranian footballing icons, Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko, the ambassadors of the fundraising platform, UNITED24.
“We’re delighted to bring people together with football and a global partner that has done so much work to help the people of Ukraine. We really hope this will be a day to remember for everyone, united in looking towards a better future,” said Andriy Shevchenko.
Arsenal star Oleksander Zinchenko echoed his compatriot’s pride regarding the event: “We’re amazed to see so much support in helping us to raise vital funds to start rebuilding our beautiful country. I’m sure the atmosphere in the stadium on August 5th will feel electric, and a day to be proud of.”
Existing Revolut customers in the UK are in with the chance of winning two tickets to Game4Ukraine, if they make a donation on u24.gov.ua website with Revolut card to support education and science, humanitarian demining, medical aid and to rebuild Ukraine.
