Fidelity International names Jenn-Hui Tan as new chief sustainability officer

Fidelity International has today announced the appointment of Jenn-Hui Tan as its first-ever chief sustainability officer.

This new role showcases Tan’s responsibility to lead the firm’s sustainable investing and corporate sustainability teams, ensuring a unified approach across all areas of operation and client service.

Fidelity International is a renowned investment management firm that specialises in global investment services. With a focus on delivering long-term value to its clients, the firm offers investment solutions and retirement expertise across different markets. Emphasising sustainable investment, Fidelity is committed to aligning its operations and strategies with ethical and environmental considerations.

Jenn-Hui Tan, an experienced professional in the field of sustainable investment, has been with Fidelity International since 2007. He has most recently been the Global Head of Stewardship & Sustainable Investing at the firm. Tan’s background includes vital positions such as Head of Capital Markets and Corporate Governance – Asia Pacific, and Director of Corporate Finance. His new role as Chief Sustainability Officer will see him taking charge of the firm’s sustainability approach in strategy, execution, and governance.

Prior to joining Fidelity International, Jenn-Hui Tan served as a corporate finance lawyer at Norton Rose Fulbright, where he advised on capital market and M&A transactions. In his new position at Fidelity, he will continue to manage the Sustainable Investing team and oversee the Corporate Sustainability team.

The appointment of a Chief Sustainability Officer comes as part of Fidelity International’s commitment to delivering a consistent sustainability strategy. By setting policies and governing the delivery of sustainability commitments across business operations, the firm aligns with evolving client and regulatory expectations.
