US WealthTech funding hit five-quarter high in Q3 after capital invested doubled YoY
The US WealthTech comanies raised $1.8bn across 56 deals in Q3 2026, the highest level of funding recorded across the five-quarter period.
That represents a 2x increase on the $887.8m raised across 72 transactions in Q3 2025, more than doubling the funding total on a year-on-year basis despite a reduction in deal volumes.
Against Q2 2026, the step up is even more pronounced.
Funding rose 3.2x from $557.8m, while deal count fell from 91 to 56 transactions.
The Q3 2026 result is defined by a sharp concentration of capital into fewer deals.
The market has delivered its strongest funding quarter in the period covered while recording one of its lowest deal counts, pointing to a small number of high-value transactions driving the headline figure.
Average deal value increased by 2.6x to $32.1m as investors loosened their purse strings
The US WealthTech sector’s average deal value in Q3 2026 stood at $32.1m per transaction, the highest of the periods provided by a considerable margin.
That is 2.6x above the $12.3m average recorded in Q3 2025, a dramatic increase in individual deal size on a year-on-year basis.
Against Q2 2026, where the average stood at just $6.1m across a much larger pool of 91 transactions, Q3 2026 comes in more than five times higher.
The scale of that uplift reflects the concentration of outsized deals in the latest period.
Investors appear to have moved decisively towards larger, more selective commitments, a shift that has defined the character of the US WealthTech market in Q3 2026.
