nCino, the NASDAQ-listed banking technology provider, has launched a Loan Officer Productivity Suite featuring six artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities designed to reduce administrative workloads and help mortgage originators spend more time supporting borrowers.
The suite is integrated into nCino’s mobile-native Mortgage Point of Sale platform, allowing loan officers to access AI-powered assistance within their existing workflows. The tools use each lender’s data, product guidelines and workflow rules to provide institution-specific answers and automate routine tasks without requiring originators to switch between multiple applications.
The launch centres on Mortgage Advisor for Loan Officers, which extends the conversational AI capabilities of nCino’s borrower-facing Mortgage Advisor to mortgage professionals. Loan officers can ask questions in natural language about their pipelines, individual loan files and government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) guidelines. With approval from the loan officer, the assistant can also complete routine tasks, including creating assignments and setting reminders.
The other capabilities target different stages of the mortgage origination process. Loan PreCheck assesses borrower eligibility against guidelines from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). It recommends suitable loan programmes before applications reach underwriters.
Mortgage MCP for Loan Officers enables originators to connect their own AI agents to the nCino Mortgage Suite through a conversational interface. AUS Smart Tasks translates automated underwriting system (AUS) results into plain-language summaries and recommended follow-up actions, which can be completed individually or automated using templates.
Automated Pre-approval brings together credit authorisation, verification services, fee calculations and dual AUS integrations in a single workflow. The capability is designed to reduce manual input and process approvals in minutes. Automated Disclosures handles initial disclosures and redisclosures for standard loan templates, helping loan officers reduce repetitive administrative work.
nCino serves more than 2,700 customers globally, including community banks, credit unions, independent mortgage banks and some of the world’s largest financial institutions. Its platform combines AI agents with human employees in what the company describes as a dual workforce, aiming to reduce inefficiencies and improve decision-making across financial services and other regulated industries.
Mortgage lenders are already adopting the new capabilities. Educated Mortgage has incorporated features into its daily origination processes to save time and move loans through its pipeline more quickly, while Security National Financial Corporation is preparing to deploy the tools to its loan officers.
Educated Mortgage president and loan officer Dan O’Brien said, “I asked Mortgage Advisor for Loan Officers something specific, and it cited the guidelines and gave me the guideline almost immediately. With other AI search tools, you almost have to sit there with 10 different prompts to get the information you’re looking for. This is better.”
Security National Financial Corporation vice president and CIO Thayne Atkinson added, “We’re excited to equip our loan officers with nCino’s intelligent features so they’ll have more confidence knowing exactly what each file needs to keep moving and can trust that routine tasks and borrower questions are being handled along the way.”
nCino general manager of global mortgage Casey Williams also commented, “Loan officers are being asked to handle more work without sacrificing responsiveness to borrowers. The Loan Officer Productivity Suite helps create that capacity by taking routine work off originators’ plates and putting answers and next steps at their fingertips, so they can stay responsive and competitive without adding more hours to the day.”
