N26’s Chief Product Officer, Gilles BianRosa, Joins Supervisory Board and Transitions to New Role

N26, the leading digital bank, has made the notable decision of appointing its Chief Product Officer, Gilles BianRosa, to the esteemed Supervisory Board of N26 AG.

Since 2021, Gilles has held the role of Chief Product Officer, contributing significantly to the bank’s product advancements. This month will mark his transition to the board, along with his decision to bid adieu to his executive leadership responsibilities at N26, as he embarks on a fresh venture as the Chief Operating Officer of a US-based firm.

During his tenure at N26, Gilles’s expertise was evident in his management and leadership of a robust Product and UX team which consists of over 100 professionals. Collaborating with nearly 700 engineers and developers from the bank’s tech division, Gilles was instrumental in launching pivotal products.

These ranged from N26 Crypto and interest-bearing Savings to localised offerings like Bizum in Spain and iDEAL in the Netherlands. Gilles’s strategic insights also paved the way for enhancing N26’s platform scalability, streamlining KYC procedures, and adopting data-backed fraud prevention strategies. His vision for the bank’s product roadmap promises transformative developments in the years to come.

Commenting on his journey, N26 Chief Product Officer Gilles BianRosa said, “Having spent the last 2.5 years leading our product and innovation efforts at N26, I am more confident than ever that N26 is in a position to lead change in the banking industry. I look forward to the opportunity to bring the company towards this goal in a different capacity as a member of the Supervisory Board.”

Marcus W. Mosen, Chair of the Supervisory Board, remarked, “Gilles will join a bench of tenured experts in banking and finance on N26’s Supervisory Board, bringing a perspective focused on product innovation from a global lens as the company looks towards its next phase of strategic platform development.”

N26 CEO Valentin Stalf commented, “Though he will leave his operational role at N26, we are happy that Gilles will continue to remain very closely connected to us. As a member of our Supervisory Board, he will continue to play a role in steering N26’s product-led culture.”

Until N26 announces a successor, Gilles’s responsibilities will be transitioned to seasoned leaders within his department.

As Europe’s premier digital bank with an extensive German banking license, N26 redefines the mobile banking experience by leveraging cutting-edge technology. This approach not only simplifies money management but also enhances security and user engagement.
