Xero has joined forces with Flinks to provide small businesses in North America with secure access to banking data.

The partnership between Xero and Flinks is designed to ease the burden of manual data entry and reconciliation for small businesses and advisors by offering more direct bank connections and high-quality transaction data across North America.

Xero is renowned for its commitment to enhancing the financial operations of small businesses worldwide. They offer a range of tools and services aimed at simplifying accounting and financial management. Flinks, on the other hand, stands at the forefront of open banking, specializing in secure, high-quality bank feeds and data integration solutions. Their extensive network of financial institution partners in North America is a testament to their leading role in this sector.

The collaboration means that Xero customers will gain access to new and secure bank feeds, including those from major financial institutions like the National Bank of Canada and EQ Bank, as well as several prominent U.S. banks. This development promises to streamline bank reconciliation processes, a critical task for small businesses, accountants, and bookkeepers.

Xero’s continual efforts to improve bank feeds in the U.S. and Canada are driven by customer feedback and the broader industry challenge of integrating reliable banking data into accounting platforms. The partnership with Flinks is a strategic move towards achieving these goals.

“Bank reconciliation is essential for every small business, bookkeeper and accountant, but manually entering transaction data takes precious time away from running the business and introduces room for error,” said Faye Pang, Country Manager, Canada at Xero. “Our partnership with a Canadian grown success story, Flinks, is just one more way we are expanding our bank feeds coverage to help provide Canadian small businesses with better visibility of their money coming in and going out.”

“Seamlessly getting data into the Xero platform is very important for small business success,” said Ben Richmond, Country Manager, United States at Xero. “Xero is committed to continually improving US and Canadian bank feeds in response to customer feedback, and tackling the broader industry challenge of getting reliable banking data into accounting platforms in North America.”

“We strongly believe the benefits open banking will provide for consumers and businesses. This partnership is proof of that,” said Frédérick Lavoie, Co-founder & COO, Flinks. “Along with our commitment to expanding our direct bank network, we are excited to work with Xero to empower businesses to take their financial operations to the next level.”
