Ajman Bank has partnered with global technology giant Mastercard, in a bid to integrate innovative solutions to promote sustainability.
The partnership focuses on leveraging Mastercard’s advanced technology, including the implementation of the Carbon Calculator, to empower consumers in making environmentally conscious purchasing decisions.
Ajman Bank has also pledged its commitment to Mastercard’s UAE Sustainable Cards initiative, reinforcing the bank’s dedication to sustainability and aligning with the UAE’s net-zero ambitions.
Announced at the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai, the UAE Sustainable Cards Pledge mobilises the country’s banks to transition to more sustainable card materials, making the UAE the first nation in the world to do so by 2025.
Mastercard supports its issuing partners in this transition, connecting them with approved suppliers and providing a toolkit for converting their card portfolio.
