The launch of Climate Spotlight addresses the growing demand for tools that help organisations navigate climate challenges, according to InsurTech Insights.
With climate-related risks increasingly impacting businesses, municipalities, and public entities, there is an urgent need for actionable insights to bolster resilience and inform long-term sustainability planning.
Zurich Resilience Solutions specialises in offering risk advisory services that empower organisations to mitigate operational vulnerabilities. Its portfolio spans a range of risk management solutions, with a strong focus on resilience and sustainability.
The new tool, Climate Spotlight, is tailored to offer flexible, data-driven insights into climate risks. It includes two variants: Climate Spotlight Core, a live, self-service dashboard that evaluates climate risk exposure across up to 100 global sites, and Climate Spotlight Expert, which provides advanced metrics, unlimited site coverage, vulnerability analysis, and consultations with Zurich’s climate specialists.
Beyond its core functionality, Climate Spotlight integrates seamlessly with regulatory frameworks, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). It also features data for climate reporting based on four scenarios extending to 2100, enabling organisations to meet evolving sustainability standards.
Amar Rahman, global head of climate and sustainability solutions at Zurich Resilience Solutions, emphasised the tool’s practicality: “Climate Spotlight caters to the needs of companies and public entities by giving them access to state-of-the-art climate risk data and analysis in a flexible and accessible manner that empowers them to take action and safeguard their people and assets.”
Climate Spotlight also supports risk identification, hazard evolution analysis, and materiality assessments, providing a comprehensive approach to climate risk management. The tool enhances Zurich’s broader sustainability objectives, which align with its ambitious financial targets. Zurich aims to achieve over 9% compound annual growth in core earnings per share through 2027, with cumulative cash remittances exceeding $19bn and a core return on equity surpassing 23%.
With this launch, Zurich strengthens its commitment to equipping clients with innovative tools to address the challenges of climate change and transition toward sustainable practices.
