Devexperts appoints Mark Belane as VP of strategic partnerships

Devexperts has appointed Mark Belane as vice president of strategic partnerships and alliances, bringing over three decades of experience in financial technology, capital markets, and business transformation.

Belane’s extensive career has equipped him with a deep understanding of FinTech and its evolving role in capital markets. His expertise in technology transformation will be a significant asset to Devexperts’ clients.

His role will involve advising financial institutions on selecting efficient software solutions while maintaining compliance and security within the fast-changing landscape of capital markets.

Throughout his career, Belane has worked across both the financial and technology sectors. After completing his studies at various universities and business schools, he started at IBM before moving into finance, where he held positions at Nykredit Investment and consulted for leading institutions, including Grupo Santander, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, Standard Chartered, Deutsche Bank, and Nordea.

Belane later transitioned back into the technology sector, focusing on FinTech, RegTech, PensionTech, and LawTech. He founded seven start-ups, achieving one successful exit, and has worked with TIA Technology (now Sapiens), Fadata, KPMG, and Sirma. Additionally, he has served as a mentor and advisor for numerous start-ups, holding roles on advisory boards.

Alongside his new position at Devexperts, Belane is also a visiting professor at business schools in Barcelona, where he lectures on big data analytics, business intelligence, and corporate strategy. His global experience and strategic expertise are expected to strengthen Devexperts’ partnerships and alliances worldwide.
