Conifer Insurance Services has teamed up with Skyward Specialty to launch Cannabis Select, a high-capacity insurance programme tailored for large cannabis businesses and multi-state operators in the US.
The initiative addresses the growing demand for higher coverage limits, enhanced property protection, and advanced risk management.
Cannabis Select complements Conifer’s existing Cannabis Essentials programme and reflects both firms’ focus on serving niche markets.
The launch follows Conifer’s 2024 acquisition by Bishop Street Underwriters, which has driven investment in AI-powered analytics and underwriting expertise.
“As the cannabis industry matures, our agency partners have consistently shared the need for higher limits and greater capacity,” Conifer Insurance Services CEO Nick Petcoff said. “Cannabis Select is a direct response to that need, building on our long track record of success while maintaining the service-first, flexible approach that has always defined Conifer.”
