Scottish Widows and Sprout.ai partner to fast-track life insurance claims using AI

Scottish Widows, part of Lloyds Banking Group, has partnered with InsurTech firm Sprout.ai to trial artificial intelligence (AI) for faster processing of life and critical illness insurance claims.

Scottish Widows, part of Lloyds Banking Group, has partnered with InsurTech firm Sprout.ai to trial artificial intelligence (AI) for faster processing of life and critical illness insurance claims.

The pilot will use AI and natural language processing (NLP) to simplify complex medical documentation and assist underwriters in making quicker decisions.

The initiative aims to improve claim handling efficiency and enhance customer experience across the UK.

Sprout.ai CEO Roi Amir said, “The insurance industry is on the brink of a technological transformation, and AI is at the heart of it. By working with Scottish Widows, we have the opportunity to prove that automation isn’t just about efficiency – it’s about delivering better outcomes for customers.”
