Ninth Wave, a leading provider of Open Finance connectivity, has launched a new division, Ninth Wave Managed Services, aimed at helping financial institutions rapidly implement embedded finance capabilities.
The initiative is designed to streamline ERP integrations, enable embedded payments, and enhance wealth data connectivity — all within 90 days.
As financial institutions shift toward API-first, cloud-native infrastructures, they increasingly face operational roadblocks. These include security concerns, consumer consent management, and regulatory compliance. Ninth Wave Managed Services has been introduced to address these pain points by combining industry knowledge with tailored implementation support.
To lead the new division, Ninth Wave has appointed Steve Schick as head of managed services. Schick previously worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he was the company’s first enterprise-level hire solely dedicated to financial services. At AWS, he played a key role in shaping the go-to-market strategy for North America and tackling early challenges surrounding cloud adoption and security in highly regulated environments.
Ninth Wave founder George Anderson said, “As the industry embraces modern, API-first infrastructure, the biggest hurdles are often operational, not technological. Steve brings the experience and mindset needed to help clients execute faster, with less risk and more impact.”
The new division will follow Ninth Wave’s structured “Plan, Build, and Operate” methodology, which combines regulatory compliance, user adoption, and technical implementation. Key capabilities will include secure, API-first ERP connectivity with platforms such as NetSuite, Sage, and Microsoft Dynamics; real-time payments driven by entitlement-based workflows; and enhanced wealth data access for high-net-worth clients.
In addition, Ninth Wave Managed Services will help clients launch co-branded API portals, marketing assets, and integration campaigns to position themselves as ready partners for embedded finance.
