Charles Taylor InsureTech, the technology division of global insurance services firm Charles Taylor, has launched Bordereaux Sync, a new AI-powered solution designed to streamline bordereaux data management across the insurance market.
Developed in collaboration with Microsoft and technology partners, Bordereaux Sync uses artificial intelligence to identify and correct errors in insurance data files—such as missing fields or mismatched currencies—before they enter bordereaux management systems like Charles Taylor’s Tide platform, according to FF News.
The tool combines generative AI and agentic AI to intelligently screen and cleanse data, enhancing accuracy and efficiency. It provides a consolidated summary of fixed issues and flags any problems it cannot automatically resolve, boosting data integrity at the earliest stages of processing.
Aimed at reducing manual errors and improving operational efficiency, Bordereaux Sync is a standalone SaaS solution that integrates with any existing bordereaux platform. It also supports Lloyd’s Coverholder Reporting Standards v5.2, promoting standardisation across the market.
Charles Taylor InsureTech head of global managed services and London market Kieran Maloney said, “Bordereaux Sync is a precision tool that resolves errors and inconsistencies, saves time, and reduces operational costs. It’s a natural complement to Tide, our bordereaux management platform, but can be used by anyone in the insurance community who handles bordereaux.”
Microsoft CTO and digital strategist Philip Fumey added: “Our collaboration on the development of Bordereaux Sync underlines how AI-powered tools can transform vital insurance activities and increase operational efficiency.”
A beta version of the tool will be rolled out to select clients in Summer 2025.
