SS&C Blue Prism has continued to advance its cloud-native Next Gen platform, aiming to transform how enterprises manage, deploy and scale automation with enhanced agility, security and innovation.
Building on its previous update, which covered Digital Worker Orchestration, API Extensions and Secure Credential Support, the company has now introduced new features to address practical challenges faced by enterprise users.
A major addition is the Blue Prism Assistant, an agentic AI embedded within the Next Gen platform. This Assistant allows users to access fast answers and receive smart asset recommendations in plain language. It connects directly to the organisation’s automation ecosystem, enabling users to troubleshoot, learn syntax or locate the right Digital Exchange asset instantly, with the Assistant returning the top three relevant assets alongside direct links and reasoning. The Assistant operates within the SS&C AI Gateway, ensuring enterprise-grade security while supporting the scalable deployment of agentic automation.
SS&C has also confirmed it has met its Q2 2025 delivery roadmap for Next Gen Intelligent Automation, which was shared in April. Among the new capabilities now available to customers is Citrix Desktop automation support, allowing applications running within Citrix environments to be automated as if they were local.
Additionally, the update introduces the ability for customers to create customised capability groups with dynamic worker allocation, ensuring tasks are handled by the most suitable digital workers to improve automation efficiency. Operational data APIs have also been launched, enabling customers and partners to integrate with enterprise IT reporting tools, leading to faster time-to-value, innovation and scalability.
Another significant launch is the SS&C Blue Prism Automation Orchestrator, a service that integrates Blue Prism Enterprise and Blue Prism Cloud with the Next Gen platform, offering advanced orchestration capabilities across cloud and on-premise environments.
