iBanFirst brings AI invoice assistant iBanPay to UK

iBanFirst has launched iBanPay, a new AI-powered assistant designed to streamline invoice processing for UK businesses engaged in international trade.

The tool converts incoming invoices into ready-to-approve payment orders, cutting down on manual work and reducing errors for finance teams.

The platform automatically scans, extracts, and validates key details from invoices — including beneficiary data, currency, and amount — before creating draft payments directly within the user’s iBanFirst account. Users are then prompted to review and approve transactions within seconds, ensuring both speed and control over payments.

For many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK, invoice management remains a manual and error-prone process that drains time and resources. Late or inaccurate payments can disrupt cash flow, adding financial strain in a challenging economic environment. iBanPay aims to remove these barriers by automating repetitive tasks, helping businesses maintain accuracy and efficiency in their payment operations.

By digitising and accelerating invoice management, iBanPay allows finance professionals to focus on higher-value objectives such as cash flow optimisation, supplier engagement, and cross-border expansion.

iBanFirst chief product officer Dimitri Rodrigues said, “With iBanPay, iBanFirst takes another step forward in automating its platform.

“Our dedicated team has collaborated closely with our client community to ensure iBanPay meets the demands of international SMEs. Early adopters are now using the assistant for more than 40% of their invoices. Soon we’ll be able to go further, with iBanPay offering users the ability to choose the best currency and the optimal timing for their payment transactions.”

iBanFirst CEO and founder Pierre-Antoine Dusoulier said, “After becoming the go-to alternative for international payments, iBanFirst is writing a new chapter. With iBanPay, we take the Global Account one step further, becoming the cockpit for company CEOs and CFOs. By automating invoice management, a long-standing difficulty for SMEs, iBanPay is designed to be a true co-pilot for accountants and finance teams.”
