ION connects Fidessa to LSE’s Private Securities Market

ION has announced that its Fidessa platform will now provide seamless access to the London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) newly launched Private Securities Market, allowing for streamlined private market trading.

The LSE’s Private Securities Market operates under the Private Intermittent Securities and Capital Exchange System (PISCES) framework. It is designed to enable private companies and their shareholders to participate in liquidity auctions at regular intervals, leveraging the LSE’s robust public market infrastructure.

The framework provides a new way for investors to engage with high-growth private firms while exempting transactions from stamp duty, lowering trading costs and simplifying market participation.

To support this integration, ION has implemented several enhancements to its Fidessa trading platform and Ticker Plant market data system. The updates will allow Fidessa users to directly access and trade within the LSE’s Private Securities Market from day one. ION’s Ticker Plant, which aggregates secure and real-time market data from over 275 global exchanges, will also support this functionality, ensuring that data integrity and speed are maintained across platforms.
