FE fundinfo has announced the acquisition of Contengo, a UK-based technology provider specialising in performance reporting, wealth analytics, and data migration tools for independent financial advisers (IFAs).
Contengo’s core technology collects and consolidates client and transaction data from adviser platforms and back-office systems into a unified control module. This enables advisers to make informed, data-driven decisions that improve both business management and client outcomes. By embedding these features into Nexus, FE fundinfo aims to give advisers a centralised hub for real-time insights and faster, more accurate financial advice delivery.
Through this integration, Nexus for Financial Advisers will connect client and business data across the entire IFA value chain. The addition of Contengo’s functionality reflects FE fundinfo’s broader strategy to strengthen adviser workflows, reduce operational friction, and deepen the quality of adviser-client interactions through analytics and automation.
The acquisition also introduces AI-driven, money-weighted performance insights into the Nexus ecosystem. Advisers will now have enhanced visibility into portfolio performance and the underlying factors influencing investment results. These insights will be accessible through the Nexus client portal, helping both advisers and clients make more informed, transparent decisions.
Among the key benefits, advisers will be able to generate real-time financial plans with greater accuracy, eliminating manual data entry and reducing human error. Users of FE Analytics will gain the ability to track live portfolio performance, benchmark results, and demonstrate Consumer Duty compliance through comparative outcome analysis. Additionally, the integration of platform charging data into the Nexus Command Deck will improve fee transparency, streamline cost monitoring, and enhance reporting accuracy.
FE fundinfo CEO Liam Healy said, “Contengo’s performance reporting and data validation tools are a natural extension for Nexus and will bring substantial value to our adviser clients. This acquisition underscores our commitment to providing IFAs with a unified, data-rich experience that drives better outcomes for their clients and streamlines day-to-day operations.
“We’re thrilled to have Contengo as part of FE fundinfo, and look forward to how it will help Nexus for Financial Advisers connect underlying workflows and both business and customer data across the IFA value chain, bringing a central Command Deck and integrated client service to financial advisers.”
Contengo CEO Louisa Southey added, “Joining forces with FE fundinfo represents an exciting new chapter for Contengo. Our shared vision of leveraging technology to empower financial advisers means our clients will benefit from enhanced capabilities, deeper data insights and a seamless user experience across all of the adviser capabilities that Nexus has to offer. We’re looking forward to how we can continue to innovate across the adviser space, and we’re excited about the possibilities for Contengo in this new form.”
