M-Files refreshes global partner program to drive growth

M-Files has unveiled a significantly enhanced global partner program, marking a strategic push to accelerate joint growth, strengthen customer outcomes and deepen collaboration across its expanding partner ecosystem.

The refreshed framework is designed to support increased adoption of M-Files’ context-first document management system.

Leadership of the evolved partner strategy sits with Mike O’Neill, who joined the company in October 2025 as global vice president of channel and alliances. O’Neill brings experience from roles at Box, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Dell Technologies, where he was involved in building and scaling global partner ecosystems. His appointment signals M-Files’ intention to professionalise and scale its channel operations as partner-led growth becomes a core pillar of its commercial strategy.

Matt Marriott, chief revenue officer at M-Files, said, “Mike joined M‑Files at a pivotal moment for our partner ecosystem.

“As demand for context-enriched document management systems accelerates, partners are central to how we scale. Mike’s deep channel expertise and proven success building high-performing partner models ensures we are laying a strong foundation for long‑term, partner‑first growth. He is already shaping the next evolution of our program—strengthening enablement, amplifying revenue opportunities, and ensuring our partners have the strategic support they need to thrive.”

At the centre of the refreshed partner program is a modernised framework focused on performance, collaboration and shared value creation.

M-Files has introduced new incentives and tiered benefits aimed at increasing partner profitability, alongside co-marketing initiatives intended to improve pipeline development and deal velocity.

Enablement is another major focus area. Partners will gain access to expanded training, certifications and dedicated support resources, helping them build deeper product expertise and deliver more consistent customer outcomes. M-Files is also strengthening field alignment, enabling closer collaboration between partners and its field sales teams through joint business planning and coordinated market engagement.

O’Neill said, “Our partners are a critical component of the M-Files business. We are investing across the board to provide unmatched resources, incentives, and support — empowering our partners to deliver transformative, context-first solutions that give organizations a true performance advantage.”
