Glia launches AI outreach tool for community banks

Glia, a banking AI platform, has launched Glia AI Outreach, a new outbound engagement solution designed to help community and regional financial institutions connect with customers more proactively without expanding their workforce.

The product enables banks and credit unions to initiate outbound voice and SMS communications around key financial moments, including certificate of deposit (CD) renewals, loan payment reminders and new account opportunities.

The solution can automatically start outbound conversations, respond to common questions in real time, handle objections and transfer qualified leads to human representatives with full conversational context intact.

The tool targets three core use cases: deposit retention, deposit growth and payment outreach. For deposit retention, the platform contacts customers ahead of CD and share certificate maturities to present renewal options before funds are moved elsewhere.

For deposit growth, it helps institutions convert indirect loan borrowers into fuller banking relationships by reaching out about deposit products and primary accounts.

On the payments side, the system can send reminders before or after missed loan and credit card payments, offering self-service options such as internal transfers to help reduce delinquency and late-stage collections costs.
