Reseda Group invests in CyberTech firm Stickley on Security

Reseda Group, the credit union service organisation wholly owned by MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), has made an investment in Stickley on Security, a firm offering security services and education to help organisations with cybersecurity and compliance.

Stickley on Security was established in 2007 by cybersecurity specialist Jim Stickley. The company delivers sector-specific knowledge that enables credit unions to equip their staff with an understanding of cybersecurity risks that extends outside the office. Its offering spans educational courses, training schemes and newsletters tailored to the distinct operations and threats faced by credit unions of every size, alongside domain protection services designed to safeguard customer data and trust.

The firm becomes the newest member of Reseda Group’s ecosystem of products, FinTech partners and solution providers, and plans to grow its range of products and services for credit unions over the course of this year.

It also recently combined with VYFI, an information security CUSO, creating a single organisation focused on improving cybersecurity awareness and regulatory preparedness for credit unions, banks, FinTechs and other businesses.

Based in East Lansing, Michigan, Reseda Group was set up in 2021 to transform how people manage their money and how financial institutions connect with consumers. Through solutions built in-house and via its partner network, the company aims to make financial technology and engagement tools more approachable for the industry.

Reseda Group COO and MSUFCU CTO Ben Maxim said, “Reseda Group’s investment in Stickley on Security is a continuation of our efforts to expand fraud prevention and financial security services for credit unions.

“We believe that collaboration is the backbone of an innovative industry, and our investment directly reflects that. We are proud to partner with a company making fraud prevention education more accessible for all credit unions and, in turn, providing a more secure and trustworthy experience for their members.”

Stickley on Security founder and CEO Jim Stickley said, “Financial institutions shouldn’t have to assemble a half-dozen vendors to build an effective cybersecurity program.

“Our vision is to provide a single trusted partner that helps credit unions navigate today’s complex security landscape. From risk assessments, IT audits, penetration testing, and security assessments to vulnerability management, employee security awareness training, member security education, incident response planning, and organizational resiliency, we provide a comprehensive suite of cybersecurity services designed to strengthen security, support governance and compliance, and reduce risk. Together with Reseda Group, we’re making enterprise-level cybersecurity expertise and resources accessible to credit unions of every size.”
