Cytora and GeoX AI partner to boost property risk data

Cytora, a digital risk processing platform, has partnered with GeoX AI, a specialist in geo data and property intelligence, to embed a broader range of AI-derived property attributes into Cytora’s underwriting technology.

The arrangement gives users of the Cytora platform direct access to GeoX AI’s dataset spanning 186 million commercial and residential properties across the United States. Underwriters can now enrich risk submissions with details such as roof age estimates, roof condition scoring, proximity to vegetation and vacancy status, all generated through GeoX AI’s proprietary systems.

GeoX AI’s platform is built on two decades of satellite and aerial imagery, processed by its own AI models to produce more than 64 property attributes, delivered through an API with sub-second response times. By channelling this data straight into Cytora’s ingestion and digitisation processes, insurers are expected to cut down on manual research, improve the accuracy of their risk assessments and increase their quote-to-bind ratios.

Cytora describes itself as a pioneer in applying generative AI to commercial insurance, with technology built to digitise risk workflows at scale while offering high configurability and performance. The platform is used by brokers, insurers and reinsurers looking to gain greater control over risk selection, grow premium income and enhance service quality.

GeoX AI, meanwhile, focuses on AI-driven geo data and property intelligence, offering national coverage of 186 million US properties and reporting 90% accuracy on attributes such as roof age and vacancy, underpinned by 20 years of historical imagery.

Cytora COO Juan de Castro said, “Accurate property data is a critical component in commercial insurance underwriting. Through our partnership with GeoX AI, we’re making it easier for insurers to embed the latest property attributes directly into their workflows, empowering smarter and faster decisions with access to the most advanced data and insights available.”

GeoX AI EVP Jacob Grob said, “This partnership with Cytora will give insurers the clarity needed to make informed, strategic, and highly accurate underwriting decisions. By delivering our comprehensive property data, including critical attributes like roof age, directly into Cytora’s platform, we are helping the industry reveal the true risk of every property and build a more efficient, data-driven underwriting ecosystem.”
