Confluence Technologies has launched Confluence POINT, a new layer of AI-enabled automation built to work across its existing solutions.
POINT is designed to sit within and alongside Confluence’s specialist regulatory, analytics and investor tools, taking on the manual work that clients would otherwise handle before or after automated processes run.
The first capability under the POINT umbrella, POINT Validation, checks and transforms documents across multiple formats, including unstructured data. The validation process is powered by AI and completes within minutes, running through an automated checklist independently of other processes. Each result carries an audit trail, with any errors flagged for the client to review, removing the manual checking that has traditionally followed automated financial and regulatory report production.
POINT has also been built into Revolution, Confluence’s multi-asset performance, attribution and risk platform. Within Revolution, POINT introduces an AI-enabled conversational interface that allows users to ask questions and trigger processes using plain English instructions. The same conversational tool is embedded in Excel, giving users the ability to work directly with Revolution data in a spreadsheet rather than exporting it or switching between separate systems.
Confluence positions itself as a specialist across regulatory, analytics and investor solutions for the investment management sector, and describes POINT as a way of extending what those solutions can do for clients by cutting down on manual effort.
Confluence has said POINT’s capabilities will expand quickly, with further AI-enabled optimisation planned across its wider product suite.
Confluence Technologies founder and CEO Mark Evans said, “AI is reshaping how work is done across financial services, and we are delivering that value directly into the solutions our clients already use and trust. Confluence POINT will expand the scope of our technology, optimize workflows, and reduce manual effort – ultimately driving efficiency through deliberate use of embedded AI. This is a long-term commitment, and you will see our AI capability continue to grow across our entire product suite in the months ahead.”
