Zeidler Group, the technology-driven law firm and regulatory compliance services provider, has unveiled AI Questionnaire Review, a new intelligent review tool built into its Zeidler Due Diligence (ZDD) platform.
The tool allows users to analyse an entire due diligence questionnaire (DDQ) in one step, flagging missing responses, incomplete answers and any compliance, regulatory or operational issues that may need closer attention.
Rather than only confirming whether a question has been answered, the system assesses whether each response genuinely addresses what was asked, checks for clarity and consistency, and highlights information that could point to a wider concern requiring further investigation.
Every response is then given one of three statuses, Satisfactory, Flagged for Review or Unanswered, together with a plain-English explanation so reviewers can quickly understand the reasoning behind each assessment.
The feature also looks past simple completeness checks. A response that appears satisfactory on the surface may still point to a compliance gap, regulatory exposure or operational weakness, and the tool is built to surface these cases along with an explanation of why they warrant further scrutiny.
Flagged and unanswered items are grouped together in a dedicated panel, letting reviewers jump straight to the relevant answers rather than working through the questionnaire line by line. The review can also be re-run at any point once new answers or supporting documentation are submitted.
AI Questionnaire Review sits within the existing ZDD platform, working alongside its current questionnaire management, counterparty response rating and validation tools, meaning there is no separate system to log into and no data to export elsewhere.
Zeidler Group is a technology-driven law firm and regulatory compliance services provider dedicated to transforming legal, regulatory, compliance and reporting services for the asset management industry. Through innovative digital solutions and deep legal expertise, Zeidler Group partners with asset managers worldwide to deliver scalable, efficient and reliable compliance solutions.
Zeidler Group Head of Due Diligence Mathilde Stich said, “Due diligence teams can spend hours working through questionnaires line by line, when often only a small number of responses really require closer attention. The AI Questionnaire Review changes that. It reviews the entire questionnaire and brings the answers that need attention to the surface, giving our clients more time to focus on the areas where their expertise and judgement really matter.”
Stich added, “The aim is not to replace the reviewer. It is to make the review process smarter. The AI can carry out the first pass across a large questionnaire and identify where attention is needed, while the reviewer remains in control of the assessment and any decisions that follow.”
