EDGE Markets, a financial services company focused on alternative financial markets, has partnered with ProphetX to bring 24/7 real-time funding to the sports exchange.
The partnership integrates EDGE Connect, EDGE Markets’ private closed-loop settlement network, into ProphetX’s funding infrastructure. Eligible EDGE Boost customers will be able to move up to $1m a day into their ProphetX accounts, with transfers available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and no deposit fees.
The companies said traditional account-funding methods can involve lower transaction limits, processing delays and fees, creating particular friction for traders attempting to move funds overnight, at weekends or during live market events.
Through the integration, eligible users gain higher deposit limits, real-time fund movement and a dedicated account for separating trading capital from everyday finances. EDGE Connect uses FedNow rails to enable near real-time settlement outside traditional banking hours.
EDGE Markets recently raised $29m in a Series A led by CoinFund, with participation from Indicator Ventures, Mantis VC, Stepstone Group and Bullpen Capital. The funding is being used to expand its institutional and consumer banking products across prediction markets.
Since launching EDGE Boost, the company said it has processed more than $2bn in transactions. Its banking product also includes tools designed to encourage responsible trading, with a pilot linking cashback rewards to responsible trading tools achieving a 97% opt-in rate.
EDGE Boost is a purpose-built debit card account with deposits held at Cross River Bank and FDIC insurance of up to $250,000, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
EDGE Markets founder and CEO Seni Thomas said, “The most active traders are no different from sophisticated participants in any other vertical: they need fast, reliable access to their capital on their schedule, not the bank’s.”
ProphetX CEO and co-founder Dean Sisun added, “EDGE Markets brings the same philosophy to the financial rails. FDIC-insured deposit accounts, real-time fund movement, and higher funding limits, all things critical infrastructure for our active traders as this market matures.”
