Evrotrust and Trustfull have entered a strategic partnership designed to help organisations sharpen fraud detection and identity checks throughout digital customer journeys.
The tie-up pairs Evrotrust’s established digital identity infrastructure and its strong footprint across Central and Southeast Europe with Trustfull’s real-time risk intelligence, giving organisations the ability to evaluate risk before, during and after a customer’s identity has been verified.
A key part of the collaboration is Trustfull’s capacity to operate ahead of formal KYC checks, screening prospective customers at the earliest point of onboarding.
By examining a wide range of digital signals tied to phone numbers, email addresses and IP addresses, the technology can flag disposable contact details, mismatched identity attributes, proxy use and other markers of fraud risk, allowing businesses to direct closer scrutiny towards higher-risk applicants before deeper verification begins.
Combined, the two companies intend to give customers a fuller picture of digital identity risk across the entire customer lifecycle, from initial risk screening and identity verification through to later interactions.
The partnership is expected to be particularly useful for organisations in financial services, lending, payments, telecommunications and public-sector digital services, sectors where identity assurance, anti-money laundering controls and fraud prevention increasingly overlap. The companies also plan to pursue joint commercial opportunities across Europe, with early focus on regulated industries and businesses operating in several markets at once.
Evrotrust allows companies and public bodies to remotely verify and authenticate individuals through eIDAS-compliant digital identity services, qualified electronic signatures and other regulated trust services. Its platform already serves more than 300 organisations and over 1.8 million registered users, with identity checks covering documents issued in more than 60 countries.
Trustfull’s role in the partnership centres on layering additional intelligence onto that identity infrastructure, drawing on digital signal analysis to surface risk indicators that traditional verification alone might miss.
The partners note that the arrangement also lines up with the direction of Europe’s digital identity framework under eIDAS 2.0. As reusable digital identities and the EU Digital Identity Wallet see wider adoption, the companies expect organisations will need to pair verified credentials with ongoing risk intelligence each time those credentials are used across digital services. Building on Evrotrust’s regional strength and Trustfull’s cross-border reach, the partnership is also intended to support both companies as they expand into new European markets.
Evrotrust Director Documents and Fraud Lovro Persen said, “As digital identity becomes more widely adopted across financial services, government and other regulated sectors, customers increasingly need to understand not only whether an identity is verified, but also the digital risk surrounding an interaction. Combining Evrotrust’s trusted identity capabilities with Trustfull’s digital intelligence allows us to give customers that broader context while supporting secure digital growth across markets.”
Trustfull SVP Global Partnerships Alex Tonello said, “Evrotrust has built a highly trusted digital identity platform with particularly strong reach across Central and Southeast Europe. By combining their identity capabilities with Trustfull’s pre-KYC and digital risk intelligence, we can help organisations detect risk earlier, focus verification where it is needed most and build stronger fraud controls across the customer journey.”
