Kybix launches to fix fragmented KYB compliance

Kybix, a newly launched AI-powered Know Your Business (KYB) information exchange platform has entered the market with plans to reshape how banks and other institutions gather, share and refresh trusted business identity data.

The platform has been created to tackle a problem that has long weighed on compliance teams: understanding exactly who they are dealing with as ownership structures grow more complex, data remains scattered across sources, and regulatory expectations continue to rise.

That burden extends well beyond the initial onboarding stage, since existing clients must be reviewed and recertified on an ongoing basis, generating a steady stream of KYB workload for institutions.

To address this, Kybix has built what it describes as a trusted global network for sharing business identity information. Its secure digital platform allows business data to be requested, supplied, approved, enriched, refreshed and reused across established relationships, cutting down on the duplicated effort and disjointed processes that continue to characterise much of the KYB landscape today.

As a Euroclear portfolio company supported by venture studio Liminal, Kybix pairs the flexibility of a startup with the scale of established financial infrastructure, wider market access and connections into Asian technology networks. Drawing on Euroclear’s existing GlobalWatch platform and network, the business is positioned to grow into a wider international market spanning financial institutions and multinational companies.

In its early stages, Kybix is concentrating on producing deeper and more current digital business profiles. These combine data pulled from registries, APIs and AI-driven research with private details submitted directly by businesses themselves, all held within a secure exchange built to satisfy regulatory standards.

The platform also unites secure data exchange, AI-powered questionnaires, connections to third-party sources and decision-support tools in a single system, letting organisations automate requests for information, link up external data and accelerate analysis while retaining permission-based controls and human oversight, ultimately cutting manual effort and creating faster, smoother onboarding for customers.

Looking ahead, Kybix plans to move into monitoring and risk insight, supporting a longer-term shift towards what it calls perpetual KYB, moving away from periodic checks towards business data that updates continuously as companies and their risk profiles evolve.

As its technology and reach grow, the company intends to work with financial institutions and multinational businesses to build the infrastructure needed to securely reuse trusted business information across global financial services.

Kybix’s leadership team is headed by chief executive Ingo Ernst, supported by an international group including chief operating officer Isabel Feliciano-Wendleken, chief client officer Marie-Charlotte Henseval, chief technology officer Marc des Garets and product director Grant Greenwood.

Collectively, the team draws on backgrounds spanning financial infrastructure, regtech, identity, product development and high-security technology, pairing regulated-market knowledge with the technical skill needed to scale KYB infrastructure on a global level.

Kybix CEO Ingo Ernst said, “KYB has remained too fragmented and manual for too long. Financial institutions are being asked to understand their customers in greater detail and keep that information current throughout the relationship, but the infrastructure supporting that work has not kept pace.

“Kybix is building a trusted global network for business identity information, combining AI-powered technology with the established network and financial infrastructure expertise of Euroclear. Our ambition is to make trusted business information easier to maintain and securely reuse, creating the foundations for a shift from periodic reviews towards perpetual KYB.”

Euroclear head of compliance and public affairs Edwin De Pauw said, “Kybix addresses a challenge felt across the industry: how to collect, verify and maintain business information more efficiently while meeting increasing regulatory expectations. Today, firms and their clients are often asked to provide the same information repeatedly through manual and fragmented processes.

“With Kybix, we have an opportunity to simplify how institutions exchange and maintain KYB information, helping improve compliance outcomes while delivering a faster and more seamless client experience. Stronger compliance and greater efficiency can go hand in hand.”
