WealthAi, an AI-powered operating system built for wealth managers and advisers, has introduced a set of AI agents that manage client onboarding and KYC from start to finish, cutting the time the process normally takes.
The London-based firm’s new agents handle the full journey rather than isolated steps. They gather client details and supporting documents, spot gaps in the information provided, produce the necessary forms and trigger checks covering identity verification, politically exposed persons (PEP) and sanctions screening, KYC and account verification. Human reviewers are only brought in when their input or sign-off is needed.
Many existing AI tools let firms automate single parts of onboarding in isolation. WealthAi says its approach differs because its agents orchestrate the whole workflow across clients, advisers, compliance staff and operations teams, as well as the various systems each group relies on.
WealthAi designs all of its products specifically for wealth managers and financial advisers, reflecting the particular complexity of their client relationships. The onboarding and KYC capability also works across several jurisdictions, supporting firms whose clients hold financial interests under different regulatory regimes.
The agents link directly to WealthAi’s Client File and to firms’ current internal systems. This means data captured during onboarding flows straight into the ongoing client record, removing the need to move or retype it manually between platforms.
The release is the latest in a run of agentic features added to WealthAi’s OS this year, following WealthAi for Advisors and the Compliance Solution.
WealthAi CEO Jason Nabi said, “Onboarding is still absurdly manual in wealth management. Advisers and relationship managers can spend hours chasing information, moving between systems, filling in forms and coordinating with compliance before a new client is ready to go.
“The opportunity with agents isn’t simply to automate another KYC check. It’s to understand where a client is in the process, what’s missing and what needs to happen next – and then actually move that process forward.
“That’s the difference between automating a task and automating the process. We want the agents to take care of much of the admin and coordination, while bringing people in where their judgement or approval is actually needed.”
