Gulf Capital Investment Company KSCC (InvestGB), the investment division of Gulf Bank, has finished a front-to-back overhaul of its operations by moving onto technology from Avaloq, a provider of private banking and wealth management software. The project is the first Avaloq go-live in Kuwait.
InvestGB now runs wealth management, portfolio management and fund administration on one Avaloq system. That system also covers its credit and lending work, including Lombard lending, collateral management and securities lending, all built on a shared data layer with extensive automation. Clients get clearer portfolio visuals, more self-service options and up-to-date security protections. Compliance and regulatory checks, including KYC procedures, are now built directly into the system, which supports the firm’s approach to managing risk.
Avaloq’s RM Workplace is a core part of the deployment. The tool pulls client information into a single view and automates jobs such as rebalancing portfolios and preparing investment proposals. As a result, relationship managers can spend less effort juggling disconnected systems and more time working directly with clients.
The move sits within InvestGB’s wider digitalisation plans. With everything on one platform, the firm expects to operate more efficiently, grow its business and cut total cost of ownership across infrastructure, software, implementation services and operations staff.
InvestGB managing director of information technology Samer Obaid said, “Going live with Avaloq is a major milestone in our digital transformation journey and reflects our commitment to innovation and our mission to deliver long term value to our clients.
“With Avaloq’s advanced technology now fully operational, we are strengthening our wealth management capabilities, fostering growth through innovation, and positioning ourselves to address the evolving needs of our high net worth and corporate clients. Most importantly, it enables our teams to focus more of their time and energy on delivering exceptional value for our clients.”
Avaloq managing director for the Middle East, Africa and India Akash Anand said, “This is a landmark achievement for both InvestGB and Avaloq, and we are proud to see InvestGB go live as our first client in Kuwait. Together, we have delivered a transformation that will help simplify the bank’s operations, increase efficiency and lower total cost of ownership.
“We would like to thank the InvestGB team for their close collaboration and market expertise, which played a vital role in the success of this program. With this foundation now in place, we look forward to continuing our partnership as InvestGB advances the next phase of its digital transformation journey.”
