Visa, a global leader in digital payments technology, is advancing its real-time money movement platform to ensure that funds transferred to US bank accounts will be available in under 60 seconds.

The new enhancement to Visa Direct is driven by a growing demand for faster and more efficient financial transfers, according to FF News.

As individuals and organisations increasingly prioritise speed in money movement, Visa aims to meet these expectations with a platform designed for real-time performance.

This capability broadens its usability across a variety of scenarios, such as splitting bills, transferring money between accounts, receiving insurance payouts or earned wages, and disbursing government benefits. It also supports healthcare payments and tip disbursements in service industries.

Visa Direct is an advanced money movement platform that connects 99% of US bank accounts and over 11bn endpoints globally, including accounts, cards and digital wallets.

It empowers consumers, businesses and governments with reliable payment solutions backed by Visa’s extensive network.

With its vast reach and capability to process instant payments, Visa Direct is poised to transform operations for businesses and government entities alike, enabling them to handle transactions in real-time with improved efficiency.

Jim Filice, VP and head of real-time payments at Visa Direct, said, “At Visa, we are constantly striving to innovate and provide the best possible money movement experiences, and this update will significantly enhance the speed and convenience, while maintaining strong security standards.”
