Fiserv, a global provider of payments and financial services technology, is partnering with the Kansas Office of the Governor to open a $2bn strategic FinTech hub in Overland Park, Kansas, bringing approximately 2,000 new jobs to the state.
This major investment forms part of Fiserv’s strategy to consolidate operations, enhance innovation, and expand its network of strategic hubs across the US.
The new site in Overland Park will serve as a central point for collaboration and technology development, designed to inspire innovation and deliver best-in-class solutions to clients.
The 427,000-square-foot campus, located at 6500 and 6550 Sprint Parkway on the Aspiria campus, was selected for its central US location, cost-effective living, and proximity to Fiserv’s Midwest client base.
The site is intended to attract top-tier tech talent and provide associates with world-class amenities while reinforcing Fiserv’s commitment to regional economic growth.
The Kansas Office of the Governor, under the leadership of Governor Laura Kelly, is focused on strengthening the state’s economy through innovation and diversification.
The partnership with Fiserv aligns with the Kansas Office of the Governor’s strategy to promote high-value career opportunities and long-term economic resilience.
This new hub is expected to significantly contribute to Kansas’s economic development, with a particular emphasis on supporting military personnel transitioning to civilian careers, as well as graduates from the state’s higher education institutions.
Fiserv plans to open the Overland Park location later this year, adding to its national network of strategic sites that are key to enhancing client service and organisational agility.
“Fiserv’s new strategic hub in Overland Park is a significant step forward as we continue to elevate Kansas to new heights,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “Fiserv will create high-value career options including opportunities for military personnel transitioning to civilian life and graduates of our higher education system.”
“We are thrilled to expand our U.S. footprint, bringing our people together to drive innovation on behalf of our clients,” Fiserv chairman and chief executive officer Frank Bisignano said. “The greater Kansas City Metro area offers a dynamic environment with a growing population of tech talent, making it the ideal location for Fiserv’s next strategic fintech hub. Working with local and state leaders, we are committed to driving growth and prosperity for both Fiserv and Kansas while contributing to the vibrancy of the Overland Park community.”
