U.S. Bank and Fiserv have announced a strategic partnership to integrate U.S. Bank’s Elan Financial Services credit card programme into Fiserv’s Credit Choice platform.
The collaboration is designed to strengthen Credit Choice, already serving over 100 Fiserv financial institution clients, by combining credit and debit card capabilities within a single digital solution.
The enhanced Credit Choice programme will allow financial institutions to offer a fully digital-first, branded agent-bank credit card service to both consumer and small business cardholders. Through the integration of Elan’s credit card features, users will be able to manage both debit and credit card accounts through their institution’s digital platform, streamlining the customer experience significantly.
The upgraded platform aims to deliver a more comprehensive and seamless experience for cardholders by consolidating all card information into one easily accessible interface. This integration not only benefits consumers but also simplifies processes for financial institutions, providing them with improved onboarding and servicing tools that reduce friction and support the acquisition of new cardholder relationships.
Elan Financial Services head of credit card issuing Peter Klukken said, “Integrating an agent card into the client financial institution banking application is truly groundbreaking. We’re excited about this relationship and look forward to offering a new, seamlessly integrated technology experience to even more banks and credit unions.”
The companies plan to begin rolling out the integrated solution this summer, with full portfolio conversion targeted for completion by the end of 2025. Throughout this transition period, Fiserv will continue to provide full support, training, and programme engagement to its financial institution clients, while also onboarding new institutions to the Credit Choice platform.
Fiserv head of card services Erik Wichita said, “We’re introducing a new level of digital card integration along with exceptional service and capabilities to the Credit Choice solution. Our clients need self-service customer journeys and easy to navigate platforms for their cardholders to drive loyalty and increased usage. This collaboration brings two great industry leaders together for one solution.”
The enhanced Credit Choice solution will be made available to US-based banks and credit unions either through existing partnerships with Fiserv or by establishing new agreements.
