Altruist, a modern custodian dedicated to transforming how financial advisors serve their clients, has launched Hazel, a new AI-powered platform designed specifically for wealth professionals.
The release of Hazel comes as advisors face mounting pressure to manage client expectations, regulatory requirements, and administrative workloads. By streamlining routine tasks and delivering deeper insights, the platform aims to give advisors more time to focus on client relationships.
Founded with the mission to simplify and modernise custodial services, Altruist has built a reputation as an innovative FinTech player in the wealth management space. The company offers technology-driven solutions that help advisors serve clients more efficiently, providing custody services alongside digital tools tailored to financial professionals.
Hazel, Altruist’s newly introduced AI platform, is designed to boost advisor productivity by leveraging both industry knowledge and firm-specific data. Its key feature, “Ask Hazel Anything,” allows advisors to receive instant answers to questions informed by conversations, emails, documents, CRM systems, and regulatory data. This enables highly tailored responses that reflect the financial plan details and historical interactions of each client.
Beyond this, Hazel offers a broad range of functions. These include preparing advisors with daily snapshots of meetings and tasks, drafting client emails in their own tone of voice, and syncing tasks automatically with leading CRMs such as Salesforce, Wealthbox, and Redtail. It can also take real-time notes, record and transcribe meetings, and provide summaries, while maintaining enterprise-grade security to safeguard sensitive client data.
Hazel marks Altruist’s first major AI release since acquiring Thyme, a Y Combinator-backed start-up that specialised in meeting intelligence. By combining Thyme’s capabilities with its custodial expertise, Altruist has created an AI platform that integrates meeting preparation, execution, and follow-up into one unified system.
The platform is available now at a price of $60 per seat monthly or $600 per seat annually, with a free trial offered through hazel.ai. In the coming months, Altruist plans to integrate Hazel directly into its custodial platform, which will allow even deeper data-driven insights and more precise client support.
Altruist CEO Jason Wenk said, “Hazel is a game changer for advisors. She’s designed to take on the work that weighs on them most. That includes note-taking, CRM entries, and scheduling, and more complex tasks like email management and in-depth research. By unifying all of these core functions in one platform, she’s making it easier for advisors to do what they got into this business to do in the first place—help people.”
