Kaizen, the regulatory reporting assurance specialist, has appointed Rob Bernstein as chief financial officer (CFO) as the business prepares for its next stage of growth.
Bernstein moves to Kaizen from SteelEye, where he held the CFO role since 2020. He brings more than 15 years of financial leadership experience gained across fast-growing technology and RegTech companies, having previously served as CFO at RegTek Solutions and TIM Group.
Throughout his career, Bernstein has helped expanding technology firms navigate periods of substantial growth, drawing on his background in financial strategy, commercial performance and the development of finance functions built to support ambitious scaling plans.
The hire comes shortly after Kaizen brought in Sam North as chief product officer last week, adding further depth to the leadership team as the company grows both its regulatory reporting assurance platform and its wider operations.
Kaizen is described as a regulatory reporting assurance specialist; the press release does not provide further detail on the company’s founding, size or client base.
Kaizen CEO Mike Leach said, “Rob brings an impressive track record of helping ambitious technology businesses scale, alongside deep experience in Regtech and working within private equity-backed environments.
“As Kaizen moves into its next phase of growth, strong financial and commercial leadership will be increasingly important. Rob’s experience of supporting scaling businesses, driving commercial performance and building the financial infrastructure required for growth will be invaluable as we execute our long-term strategy.
“His appointment further strengthens our executive team at an important point in Kaizen’s development, and I’m very pleased to welcome him to the business.”
Kaizen CFO Rob Bernstein said, “Kaizen has built a strong position in regulatory reporting assurance with a highly credible client base and a clear opportunity to scale further.
“Having spent much of my career helping fast growth technology and Regtech businesses develop and grow, I’m excited to bring that experience to Kaizen as it enters its next phase of growth.
“I’m looking forward to working with Mike, the executive team and colleagues across the business to help Kaizen realise its long-term ambitions.”
