Aveni closes the gap between isolated checks and real risk

Aveni

Aveni has launched an enhanced version of Detect, its compliance monitoring and outcome testing platform, giving compliance teams the ability to assess entire customer cases rather than isolated interactions.

The upgraded platform can now pull together calls, emails, webchat exchanges, SMS messages and supporting documents from a single customer case, reviewing them jointly through one AI-driven workflow rather than assessing each interaction on its own terms.

By joining up this evidence, compliance teams gain a fuller view of how a customer journey unfolded, whether concerns were flagged along the way and what steps were taken to resolve them appropriately, a capability Aveni positions as central to meeting Consumer Duty obligations.

Conventional compliance monitoring has traditionally relied on manual sampling that typically captures only 5 to 10% of interactions, often reviewed well after the event. Aveni’s enhanced Detect instead delivers full coverage almost immediately after each conversation ends, so every interaction, case and channel is assessed automatically and promptly, cutting the chances that misconduct or regulatory breaches go unnoticed until they escalate.

The platform combines full-population risk monitoring with a verifiable, case-level audit trail, automated triage that Aveni says can cut outcome testing time by up to six times without requiring extra staff, and population-level trend data designed to help firms act on emerging risks before they develop into wider problems.

Assessments within Detect can be tailored to a firm’s specific compliance priorities, spanning complaints handling, vulnerability, Consumer Duty, Treating Customers Fairly, collections conduct and product-specific rules, giving firms the same level of case-level scrutiny wherever their regulatory focus lies.

Underpinning every Detect assessment is FinLLM, Aveni’s own suite of AI models built specifically for financial services. Rather than adapting a general-purpose large language model for compliance work, Aveni describes FinLLM as the first model suite in the UK designed from the ground up for regulated financial environments, which it says sharpens the accuracy and relevance of assessments carried out across conversations, documents and full customer cases, particularly for Consumer Duty oversight, vulnerability detection and customer outcome assessment.

Aveni also points to a cost advantage from using its own FinLLM technology rather than larger frontier models, estimating that assessing complex compliance cases through Detect costs around 25 times less than relying on bigger hyperscaler alternatives. The enhanced capability has already been trialled with a number of customers throughout 2026 and is now available to new customers.

Aveni chief commercial officer Kent Mackenzie said, “Customer outcomes can’t always be understood from a single call or document. A concern raised in one interaction may only become significant when it’s considered alongside an email, a later conversation or the final action taken by the firm.

“Detect brings that information together so compliance teams can understand the complete customer journey, identify the cases that need attention and produce clear evidence of how customers have been treated. It moves compliance monitoring from reviewing isolated moments to assessing real outcomes.”
