Tieto Banktech, a provider of card issuing and acquiring technology, has completed the delivery of its end-to-end Card Suite platform to XONO SOFT, a FinTech offering banking and digital asset services, supporting the firm’s expansion into card processing across the European Economic Area.
The partnership, first agreed in 2025, has now moved through its implementation and testing stages, with the companies targeting a commercial go-live by the end of 2026. The platform equips XONO SOFT with a complete issuing management system, acquiring functionality, switching and clearing tools, fraud management, and a 3D Secure authentication module. As a result, XONO SOFT will be able to run its own branded and white-label card issuing services, alongside processing capabilities for point-of-sale purchases, online transactions and person-to-person transfers in both fiat and non-fiat currencies.
The Card Suite platform is hosted on Amazon Web Services, allowing it to scale alongside XONO SOFT’s transaction volumes while remaining adaptable to a range of use cases and rapid deployment needs. Tieto Banktech noted that XONO SOFT’s future requirements align closely with its own product roadmap, which is underpinned by ongoing annual investment in research and development.
Over the course of 2025 and 2026, teams from both companies collaborated on the integration and testing of the system, with the project reportedly progressing on schedule ahead of its commercial launch.
Founded in 2018 and previously known as Kauri One, XONO SOFT builds software that links conventional banking tools, including payment cards and IBANs, with custodial and non-custodial wallet functions designed for both corporate and retail customers.
Through its collaboration with Tieto Banktech, the company is broadening its offering to include acquiring services and card issuance within the EEA. XONO is also working towards certifying its cloud-based card processing platform with Visa and Mastercard, with plans to launch as a direct card acquiring and issuing processor in the fourth quarter of 2026.
