Oracle Financial Services, the technology giant’s banking-focused division, has launched two agentic AI tools, Oracle Nexus Case Flow and Oracle Nexus Reach.
The tools are designed to help banks cope with mounting alert and case volumes as compliance budgets and investigator headcount come under strain.
The two products extend Oracle’s financial crime and compliance management offering. They place AI agents directly within the workflows investigators already use. According to the company, this lets institutions consolidate information faster and reach more consistent conclusions, while people keep responsibility for final decisions.
The agents can also act without being prompted. They review cases in advance, looking for warning signs and reassuring indicators, and they detect conduct matching known criminal typologies, such as patterns suggestive of human trafficking. When they find something, they notify the investigator.
Oracle says this front-loads richer detail into each case, sharpens the questions investigators need to ask, and speeds up both the removal of false positives and the disruption of illicit activity.
Nexus Case Flow applies agentic AI to evidence collection, entity context, recommendations and case narratives. Everything it produces is intended for human checking within the investigation process. Institutions can configure it extensively, tailoring workflows, screens and actions to each case or event type.
Additional features include permission-based workboards, adjustable fields, prebuilt templates for different case categories, and a view of linked and past cases tied to a given entity.
Nexus Reach delivers AI functionality through a browser extension that sits alongside a bank’s existing systems. It can run adverse media searches to surface public information on individuals or businesses under investigation. It also assists with narrative analysis and drafting, and can carry out fully autonomous AI reviews and AI investigations.
Oracle Financial Services supplies technology to financial institutions, including a portfolio of financial crime and compliance management solutions.
Oracle Financial Services global head of financial crime products Jason Somrak said, “Investigators need a clearer picture of potential risk early enough to act with confidence. Oracle Nexus Case Flow and Oracle Nexus Reach put relevant context and AI capabilities into the flow of work, helping teams focus their expertise where it matters most.
“Investigators remain in control of the decisions, so institutions can scale their response to financial crime without compromising rigor or accountability.”
