InsuraGuest has formed a strategic partnership with Venture Insurance Programs to offer cover consumers in hotels.
The InsuraGuest API integrates with around 70 different hotel property management systems with access of around 40,000 hotels around the world. Once integrated, the InsuraQuest platform helps hotels transfer their exposure to liability through specialised hotel guest protection policies.
As part of the deal, Venture Insurance Programs will administer the InsuraGuest product for hotels in all 50 states on an admitted basis through Great American Insurance Group.
InsuraGuest coverage is purchased by the hotel and offered to each registered guest and their room occupants at check-in, for an extra charge. The policy covers theft or personal property, accidental medical expense and accidental death and dismemberment.
Venture Insurance Programs’ president Philip J. Harvey Sr. said, “We are very excited for this InsuraGuest coverage to be available to hoteliers.
“InsuraGuest may be the first line of defence for both the guest and the hotel when an accident occurs. While trip insurance covers guests when traveling to and from their destination, InsuraGuest offers protection during their stay, helping hotels create an even better guest experience.”
Venture Insurance Programs designs, underwrites, and distributes industry-specific insurance packages. The company supports niche sectors such as country clubs, golf destinations, hotels, commercial marine, fitness, and social clubs.
