Biography

Tarik is Head of Market Abuse Surveillance Monitoring at BNP Paribas Group Compliance since 2016.

With more than 20 years’ experience in Transversal and Organizational Programs Management, he has success conducted key Programs and Transformations since he joined BNP Paribas Group in 2006.

In his current position, he covers the definition of Group Norms and Standards for Surveillance, sponsors transversal improvement initiatives, monitors Surveillance activities across the Group and performs the 2nd Level Control. The implementation of the Surveillance Operating Model he has designed prior to MAD2/MAR entry into force, has proven robustness, high efficiency and resilience, particularly during Covid outbreak as highlighted by Internal Audit. He has developed with his team a smart Surveillance Monitoring Layer to cover the critical Risk Monitoring topics while tracking Key Operational Metrics.

Tarik holds an Engineering Degree in Information Technology & Telecom, a Master in Business Administration from IAE de Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a Master in Information Systems & Technology Management from HEC Paris and Mines Paris.
