Jean-Marc Guiteau joined Société Générale Investment Solutions Europe (SGIS-E) as Compliance Officer In January 2024. Before joining SGIS-E, Jean-Marc gathered more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry in various countries, lastly with the Deutsche Boerse Group as Chief Compliance Officer of Clearstream Banking in Luxembourg. Prior to that, he held different compliance responsibilities within the BNP Paribas Group as Deputy Head of Compliance of the Investment Solutions division and then Chief Compliance Officer and member of the Executive Committee of BNP Paribas Securities Services. In parallel, he developed the Regtech franchise for BNP Paribas Securities Services and acted as Vice Chairman and Board member of the BNP Paribas Employee Healthcare company. Prior to joining the BNP Paribas Group, he worked for eight years for the French Insurance company MMA, as Group Compliance Officer and Head of Internal Control for the group finance and asset management activities. In the meantime, he has published a survey for the French Internal Auditors’ Association (IFACI) on the Risk management and the Risk Mapping methodology within Insurance Companies. He started his career at HSBC France (formally Credit Commercial de France), where he spent more than 10 years in various functions, successively within the Securities Services as Relationship Manager, Head of organisation for the CIB activities and Head of assignment at the General Inspection of the Bank. He is graduate in International Commerce from Paris VI University and has an Executive Masters in Business Administration from HEC (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) – Jouy en Josas, France. He is also recognised as International Financial Sanctions Compliance Officer (IFSCO) by BNP Paribas United States Group Financial Security.
