Kita, a London-based carbon credit insurance specialist, has raised £4m in funding to leverage InsurTech solutions to support carbon removal projects.

Chaucer, a global specialty (re)insurance group, has partnered with carbon credit insurance specialist Kita to bring the first of its kind insurance product to the carbon markets.

Kita, the world’s first carbon insurer, has closed a “heavily” oversubscribed pre-seed round on £350,000, which was led by seasoned investor Insurtech Gateway.
