Hot on the heels of its $146m funding round in March, investment solution provider iCapital Network has now inked a deal to buy Wells Fargo's Global Alternative Investments (GAI) Feeder Fund Platform.

Legalwise, it has not been a great week for Wells Fargo. First it was ordered by a US regulator to pay $14m for failing to uphold conduct standards and then a jury ordered the financial services company to pay $200m for infringing on two patents.

Ascent, the enterprise using tech to boost compliance, has just announced a $19.3m funding round led by Drive Capital, the venture capital firm that has previously invested in InsurTech company Root Insurance among other businesses.

Greenlight Financial Technology, which aims to help parents raise financially smart children, has bagged $54m in its Series B.

H2O.ai, an AI and machine learning developer, has received $72.5m in its Series D round to support its global marketing and sales efforts.

OpenFin, which gives financial institutions digital operating systems, has bagged $17m through its Series C round.

Ascent RegTech, a compliance automation platform, has joined the Wells Fargo Startup Accelerator, alongside Motiv, a connected wearable device developer.

Blockchain solution developer Axoni has collected $32m in its Series B round of financing, led by Goldman Sachs and Nyca Partners.

Visible Alpha, a startup helping analysts and fund managers cope with regulatory changes, has landed further investment from HSBC.
