Crowdfunding platform OurCrowd has secured up to $3.6m of funding in its latest fundraise, FinTech Global can reveal.
The company has registered around 61 investors the to fundraise, with a minimum outside investment of $10,000, according to the latest US Securities Exchange and Commission filing.
A target or hard cap for the investment round is not made clear by the filing.
Jerusalem-headquartered OurCrowd is a crowdfunding platform for angel investors and venture capital firms. Once OurCrowd has chosen a company to back, after detailed research, it injects some of its own money into the company and then seeks further support on the platform from the accredited investors.
To date, the company has raised around $440m, funding around 120 companies, according to the company website.
Last year the company closed a $72m Series C funding round, which was used to develop its product and expand its offices globally. Including the capital from the filing, total funding received by OurCrowd has reached around $116.1m.
Earlier this month Alan Weisleder joined the company as partner and investor relations executive vice president. Weisleder will help maximise client acquisition and investment in the OurCrowd’s portfolio.
