Receipt management app Klippa has reportedly secured a €250,000 investment to support international expansion efforts.
This investment was supplied by Netherlands-based human resource consulting firm Randstad, according to a report by Silicon Canals. Having raised this capital, the company has set its sights on a Series A round, and is also exploring expansion into Poland and Switzerland, it said.
Netherlands-based Klippa is a receipt scanner mobile app available on both Android and iOS. With the free app, consumers can scan their receipts to not only store it digitally but create insights on expenses. Its solution can also help businesses with their reimbursement process by having a record of all company expenses.
Receipts can be shared with others over the platform, helping with shared purchases such as gifts. A PDF of the bills can also be downloaded and shared.
Earlier in the year, fellow Netherlands-based FinTech blanco raised a €2m equity round to support its adoption within the Benelux region. The company provides banks and investment firms with asset management tools to simplify their processes, such as onboarding and fraud protection.
Last year, there was a total of $100.4m was invested into the Netherlands’ FinTech scene, according to data by FinTech Global. Half of the funds went to businesses operating in the infrastructure and enterprise software sector. The remaining investments were deployed to the WealthTech, RegTech, marketplace lending and payments and remittances sectors.
