Switzerland-based i2 Invest said to close $1.4m in funding round

Switzerland-based i2 Invest has reportedly closed a new funding round on $1.4m to help it launch two funds in Autumn.

The capital was supplied by unnamed business angels, according to a report from Born2Invest.

Funds will be used to expand the company’s team, increase growth and launch two funds.

Each of the funds will have $11m of seed capital available for investment. The first vehicle will focus on refinancing loans with valuable collateral such as a car, agriculture, or software development loans.

The second fund will support an unnamed asset manager in Liechtenstein to bundle SME loans from Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Liechtenstein, the article said.

i2 Invest is a software solution for the marketplace lending space, which leverages 25 million datapoints across 35 markets to offer a tailored investment strategy.

Its software enables clients to build a diversified portfolio through insights from intermediaries, currencies, lenders, borrowers and more.
