RoofMarketplace has reportedly netted $1.1m in its seed funding round to support its national expansion.
Rock River Capital Partners and American Family Ventures venture partner Peter Gunder served as the lead investors for the round, according to a report from Coverager.
With the capital injection, the company hopes to scale into new markets across the US and hire more staff across its team.
The company, which was founded in 2011, leverages advanced aerial photography to help contractors provide consumers with accurate quotes for work, without having to visit the property. The platform is also used by insurance carriers to improve the claims process for property insurance policies.
Rock River partner Andy Walker said, “Rock River Capital is excited to invest in another great Wisconsin company who has national reach. Roof damage is one of the largest areas of claims for Insurance companies which is why we feel Roof Marketplace is positioned well to make a big impact for both roofers and insurers.”
