Zeidler appoints head of legal team for new Paris office

Technology-driven law company Zeidler Group has named Valentin Chantereau as its head of legal at its newest European office in Paris.

According to Zeidler, Chantereau will help the company launch and head its Paris office and will report to Zeidler CEO Arne Zeidler.

Chantereau holds knowledge in alternative investment management, structured products and a range of banking and capital markets such as derivatives, credit, EFTs, infrastructure, prime brokerage and coverage of specific corporate law and contracts law aspects.

Prior to joining Zeidler, Chantereau worked for the Nomura Group as a senior legal counsel for the last 12 years. He holds over 15 years of industry experience as a financial services lawyer and has worked for Lehman Brothers Asset Management and PwC in Luxembourg.

Earlier this year, Zeidler named former Goldman Sachs managing director Thilo Zeidler as its new CFO and product owner of various data products.

Zeidler has developed its own legal and regulatory compliance technology platform, Zeidler Swift, which has a multitude of modules including, a Global Knowledge Hub, K(I)ID Generator, EMT and EPT tools and a fund governance module. Zeidler claims the product was created for a more efficient, cost-effective and streamlined delivery of legal services for the asset management industry.
